Purpose of Position

The Global Product Management Director sets & drives the product roadmap for the Dispensers,Payment and Content areas by gathering customer input; tracking market trends; workingwith Regional Sales & Marketing teams to understand key market drivers andopportunities; and working with Engineering to ensure product viability &on-time delivery, through direct management of a team of Global product managers. The successful candidate will synthesize qualitative andquantitative inputs to prioritize and manage the portfolio to ensure that the product &product line are valuable, usable, and feasible. The product director hasresponsibility for product conception though development and market introduction.

Key Responsibilities

* Identifyand prioritize Forecourt markets for cultivation. Develop and maintain market models that includes sizing, growth, competitive activity, customer, regulatory andtechnology factors to guide strategic discussions on target markets.

* Developand maintain technology and product roadmaps, and help identify innovationopportunities

* Ownproduct definition and development process, including:

* Articulatingclear and accurate market and product requirements

* Developingstrong and compelling business cases to support requirements

* Definingwinning strategies/approaches where appropriate to engage third parties indeveloping and delivering solutions that open market opportunities

* Collaboratewith Engineering to ensure ideation and concept activities are focused on themost compelling business and consumer problems in retail and commercialpetroleum related to dispensers

* Enumeratekey product benefits, differentiation, and positioning. Clearly communicatethese to regional marketing/sales teams and to end customers


* Directly manage small team of Global Product Managers

* Robustness/qualityof market research, customer insights/needs identification, and opportunityidentification.

* Stabilityof product roadmap and completion of key milestones feeding the developmentcycle (measured by both the quality of inputs, including Market Requirements Specification& business case to the development cycle, as well as timeliness in hittingproduct planning specific milestones)

* Completenessof product portfolio

* Deliveryof business case revenue and cost targets on delivered products

* Marketshare in key identified growth opportunities

* Abilityto collaborate with others inside and outside the team
