My story

As soon as they are cleared, this memo will be updated.Update 05/19/21: This animal has been cleared from our Isolation area and is available for meet-and-greet.Brady is a 1-year-old female black and white shorthair cat. She was brought in to the shelter as a stray, so we have no background information on her. She did arrive ear-tipped, however, meaning she was likely living in an outdoor feral cat colony beforehand, being managed by a caretaker who had her spayed. Brady bit a shelter staff member shortly after arriving, during a stressful escape attempt. She was placed on a 10-day observation period and did not show any abnormal behavior at the shelter. Brady seems happy to see people. She’ll come up to greet them, sometimes meowing softly, and will rub her head and body across their arms.We are open by appointment only to ensure we can properly social distance here at the shelter. We cannot guarantee a specific pet or type of pet will be available at your appointment. We do not hold pets. We operate on a first come first serve basis and while you can put what/who you are interested in in the appointment sign up, all appointments are general dog/cat/other animal appointments since we cannot guarantee what will be available at the time of your appointment. If you would like to set up a non-specific dog or cat appointment we have our scheduling system online now at:https://petadoption.guilfordcountync.govAll adopted cats and dogs at Guilford County Animal Services come fully up to date on age appropriate vaccines, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
