CORKY Domestic Shorthair Kitten Female in Greensboro, North Carolina

My story
Corky is a 16-week-old female black shorthair kitten. She was brought into the shelter as a stray, along with her mom (Mable) and one sister (Bunky), so we have no background information on her. Corky and her sister Bunky arrived semi-feral at the shelter, afraid and avoidant of people, and one of them (we`re not sure who) bit a staff member while they were attempting to place them in a carrier. They were placed on a mandatory 10-day observation period and showed no signs of abnormal behavior. With time to settle in at the shelter, Bunky and Corky have become more curious and comfortable around people, though they are still frightened easily, and are not lap cats (yet!).Thank you so much for considering adoption! We would love to help you find a wonderful new family member here at Guilford County Animal Services. We are open by appointment for adoptions and you can adopt from us if you live out of county anywhere in the US. We do require that you are able to come meet the pet in person before you adopt to be sure they are the right fit for you and your family.

Please note that we cannot set appointments for specific pets and cannot hold pets. We operate on a first come first serve format based off of our scheduled appointments. To book an appointment to meet our pets, please contact us at
